Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. What this page covers
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage quent-tech.com uses, what they are for, and how long they are kept. It complements our Privacy Policy. Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" covers things like localStorage and sessionStorage, which also persist data in your browser but are not cookies in the strict sense. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive, both require the same treatment when used for non-essential purposes.
3. What we store
We try to keep this minimal. The table below lists everything this website itself stores in your browser:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie-consent | localStorage | Remembers your choice on the cookie banner so we don't show it again on every page load. | Until you clear browser storage | Essential |
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising, retargeting, A/B testing, or other third-party tracking tools on this site. If we add any in the future, this page and the cookie banner will be updated, and consent will be requested before any non-essential trackers load.
4. Third-party services we rely on
The following services support the site but do not set cookies in your browser through our pages:
- Hosting / CDN: the website is delivered through our cloud provider, which may log your IP address and request metadata for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period and not used for tracking.
- Contact form: when you submit the form, your name, email, company, and message are sent to our backend and forwarded to our inbox via Amazon SES.
- Fonts: we self-host the fonts used on the site, so loading a page does not contact any third-party font provider.
5. How to control or delete what we store
You can clear the entry above at any time:
- In your browser's settings, clear cookies and site data for quent-tech.com.
- Open the browser developer tools (Application → Local Storage → quent-tech.com) and delete cookie-consent; the banner will reappear on the next page load.
- Use private / incognito browsing — nothing is persisted between sessions.
6. Legal basis
The single entry above is treated as strictly necessary under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive: it stores only your consent decision, which is required for the banner to function and to honour your choice. No consent is required for that. Any future non-essential storage will be loaded only after explicit consent.
7. Changes
When this list changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes (for example, adding analytics) will also re-trigger the cookie banner.
